Vampie the veggie-pal

A person from barnardo's came to our school and said you can make a veggie pal , and try to get people to sponsor you . and I made one and it is called Vampie and he's called that because he has got fangs . It is made out of asparagus (for his eyes and his arms) potato ( for his body) celery (for his mouth) and celery leaves( for his wings) and his hat is made out of pepper topping. He is stuck together with cocktail sticks. You have to look after them for a week with out them breaking - four days in he's still alive but he's had a little injury in the arm but he's okay. At the end of the week all the envelopes with the money inside are collected in (with their name on), my teacher always says to put your name on things. Anyway they will be collected in, put it in a bag, then one is taken out and whoever wins would get a giant teddy bear.

How do you like this picture of a baby gerbil?  It's from the internet not mine!

About 5 week ago Igot 2 lovely gerbil. 1was grey and white and the other one was black with white strips along his paws &under chin.The white and grey one  was called lots and lots of name some of names were merlin, bruno, quick tail,haribo,oliver and lots more. His name now is whitey.The black one on the other hand has only bin called 2 names oliver when Igot him but after a while I stared to call him oscar but now we just call him Blackie.They both kind of nibbel me it makes you jump but it does not hurt.

For last weeks home work we hat to write a limerick and I didnt no what to write so I rote about whitey .It went like this

there once was a gerbil called whitey,
he was naughty and wanted bite me,
he chewed on my thumb,
and he nibbled my bum
when he tried to run up my nightie.

they're settling in very nicely. I love them!
